Starting your own Business: There are many options to apply under this category, if someone wants to immigrate under Business Visa category. One can qualify under / Intra-Company Transferee/ Canada Owner Operator Program /Start-up Visa Program etc.

TO qualify under Intra-Company Transferee (ICT)

  • Your company should be a registered Company, with complete taxation record etc.
  • Your company in your country must be a Running Company
  • The Company should be more than a Year Old
  • Should have more than One Employee working in it
  • Should have sufficient Funds, at least 100,000/- CDN $ Net worth, to be invested in Canada.

For immigration purposes, the main job groups are:

  • Choose a province where you want to establish your Branch office.
  • Some Provinces in Canada, will ask you to deploy a Canadian Director in your branch office.

Once the company has been registered, you can apply for a WORK PERMIT, to work in your company. The Work permit is usually given for a year (can also be extended) and you can come to Canada with your Spouse and dependent Children below 22 years of age, on Temporary Resident Permits.

On completion of Work Permit and fulfilling the basic criterion (like: The Company should be running and Active / Should have physical office and Presence in Canada / Should employ at least One Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident), you can then apply for Permanent Residence Visa for yourself and your accompanying family members.
